CHD Group Observes World Environment Day 2019 At Mangalore Prison

Mangaluru: CHD Group, a public health organization headquartered in Mangalore observed World Environment Day on 5th June 2019 along with ISIRI Healthy India Mission at Mangaluru District Prison by planting saplings and plants inside the jail premises. Mr. Chandan Patil, SP of District Prison, Mangaluru, spoke a few words about how the environment can be protected and pollution can be prevented, followed by environmental awareness talks by Mr. Darshan Jain, President of ISIRI Healthy India Mission, and Akshatha Jain, Member of ISIRI Healthy India Mission. CHD Group has been working in the space of health systems strengthening, disaster risk reduction and environment and climate change for many years now and have worked in major national disasters in the country.
