CHD Group: Dr Edmond Fernandes appointed to Atlantic Council at Washington DC

Dr Edmond Fernandes, CEO, CHD Group which is a global health organization headquartered in the city, has been appointed as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow to the Atlantic Council.

The Atlantic Council is a Washington DC headquartered American Atlanticist Council which is a member of the Atlantic Treaty Association and dealing with foreign policy, international security and global economic prosperity.

Dr Edmond Fernandes will be working closely and reporting to Dr Irfan Nooruddin, director of the South Asia Center of the Atlantic Council on several issues ranging from global healthcare, to developmental policies and issues of governance. The South Asia Center is the Atlantic Council’s focal point for work on greater South Asia. Through partnership with key institutions in the region, the Atlantic Council facilitates dialogue among decision-makers in South Asia, the United States and Europe to ‘wage peace’ and securing democracy and prosperity in the region.

These deliberations cover internal and external security, governance, trade, economic development, education, climate sustainability and resilience and other issues.
The Center is committed to working with stakeholders from South Asia in addition to partners and experts in the United States and Europe, to offer comprehensive analyses and practicable recommendations for policymakers.

He will remain the full-time CEO of CHD Group and continue to drive the operations of CHD Group across the globe.
